Welcome to our web site!
Kimberly Ann Houle was a young woman who committed herself to a
career serving in the criminal justice system. She worked as a Correctional Officer for the Rhode Island
Department of Corrections. On January 22, 2006, at the age of twenty-two, God chose to take Kimberly to her Heavenly
home.
During her brief life here on earth
Kim touched so many people in such a positive manner that, in her memory, her family and friends have established the Kimberly
Ann Houle Memorial Fund.
The fund will primarily focus
on the two areas of education which were so important to Kim. First was her commitment to eternal matters.
At a young age Kim attended a Christian children's retreat where she invited Jesus Christ into her heart. Through this
act of accepting the saving work of Jesus Christ, we know Kim will now spend eternity in Heaven. In light of this we
will assist young children wishing to attend Christian camps that will have a life changing impact on their lives.
Kim was also committed to pursuing
her secondary education in the criminal justice field, taking classes at both Rhode Island College and the Community College
of Rhode Island, earning her degree with honors from C.C.R.I. In the spirit of her pursuit for a college degree,
the fund will assist young women with their education working towards a degree in a criminal justice program.
The fund will also financially assist Correctional Officers
and their families who have suffered grave hardship.
In light of Kimberly's
career, we encourage you to pray for, and be thankful for, the many men and women who have dedicated themselves to serving
in the corrections profession. They work one of the toughest jobs in the Country.
"The next time you see one in uniform, thank them."
